Roy on China buying GM
Roy waded into the tempest tossed waters of The News Journal this weekend. News Journal reporter Robin Brown was with Appoqunimink School District kids on their visit to their new outdoor classroom focused on "Green Energy" solutions. The article (which you can read here)reads like a commercial for green energy. Roy brings up some questions that were never answered (or asked).
Will they teach these kids where the power to recharge their iPods comes from at night, or when the wind is calm?
No.
Will they tour a coal, gas, or nuclear power plant? No.
Will they discuss the morality of taking their parents' income to subsidize the still more costly green energy hoax? No.
Unsolved problems with DC storage and transmission? No.
The hypocrisy reeks ... STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Education is the latest ruse from the educRats, designed to explain why their educational results are so dismal, yet the actual science and engineering taught is strictly limited to their agenda-based interests. On top of that, in their zeal to cover their miserable record, the educRats will gladly force future ballerinas and novel writers and electricians alike into calculus and organic chemistry, then use the kids' horrible results to prove their point about "unprepared kids" and to argue for the "next big thing" in education, thus continuing the unending cycle of failure and "reform."
This is but one example of a government education system that not only cannot, but does not really want to educate (see Webster, not Lowery) our kids. Indoctrination, dumbing down, fomenting the agenda, and first and foremost, perpetuating and growing the education bureaucracy are the objectives. Until moms and granddads and uncles and regular citizens of all stripes take responsibility for educating the next generation (those that want it, that is, but that's a whole 'nother essay), by taking the government o-u-t of the process altogether, we as a people and a nation will continue the downward spiral that has been going on for decades.
We the People, lulled into a deep sleep by the progressive/liberal movement, swept ahead on nanny state false promises, must awaken. The stench this story represents is but one example of the rot permeating the schoolhouse down the block, festering on the watch of your elected and appointed officials at all levels of government. Wake up citizens, it's not just Carper, Coons, and Carney, it's the Delaware legislature and governor (Rs as much as Ds), it's the state board of education, it's the district school boards, it's the teacher's union, it's your local teachers, principals and hall monitors.
Choose one: a system that teaches HOW to learn, or WHAT to learn.
Roy on China buying GM
China to buy stake in GM.
Move along folks, nothing to see here. Go home, go on, move along, there's nothing to see here.
Your federal taxpayer pocket and mine are already scheduled for a $7,500 picking as a gift to your neighbor for buying a Chevy Volt. Some cities/states/localities add another $10,000 or so to subsidize the unions, er, plug-in car, nobody wants at a sticker of $41,000.00. (And shhh, don't tell anybody, but it's really just a hybrid after all, not a true full plug-in -- that slipped out last week -- oopsie!). Furthermore, it also eeked out last week that you and I will pick up another grand for that neighbor of yours in a hurry to save the world if he will simply pay the second thousand bucks for a supersized 240v charger. What's that you say, the average outlet in America, 120v or 240v is juiced by a coal fired plant? Move along folks, nothing to see here. Didn't I tell you that? Move along. Step carefully though, don't be blinded by the glint of the sun from your neighbor's solar panel -- by the way, gee, it was really nice of you to pitch in your child's tuition money to subsidize his good feelings about himself and mother Erf. Panels probably made in China, or soon will be. Cars made in China, or the profits made in China. Cars purchased by GE, itself firmly embedded among all the sucklings.
Is the only good news that we can (maybe) borrow back the dollars from the ChiComms to continue the Ponzi that is America?
Can it really become that perverse?
Why does the law of unintended consequences only strike these blessed 50 states?
Or was this intended all along?
"Say goodnight, Gracie." "Good night, Gracie."

Roy's Response to Bill Lee
Bill,
Your missive will be a great help to the Republican cause "if" Christine wins the primary, just as other such writings issued by the party establishment will. (I only used "if" in the hope that you wouldn't write me off as "delusional" or "CRAZY" before you get past the first line of my remarks). The sarcasm should be evident. Hopefully, you and Tom and the rest of the Delaware establishment V.M.P. (Vic Meade Party) will have to eat these words ... or "elect a Democrat." A "leftist Democrat" at that. Even if I didn't support Christine, and mine was the vote for the win, I'd cast it just to see what the insiders do with an actual conservative willing (if inexplicably) to run under the Republican banner and fight the good fight for We the People. And you invoke the name of Reagan ... have you never learned his eleventh commandment, sir?
A couple items for your consideration from a non-member of the ruling class:
o Thanks, but I haven't been standing around waiting for someone to tell me which candidate to vote for. If you wish to be of some service to those who just might be, ask your candidate to come out in the sunlight and defend his record and propose his future.
o It is not, was not, has not been, and never shall be "Biden's seat." It is the seat of the representative of We the People of Delaware. And We have been poorly represented in both the House and Senate for at least as long as half your lifetime, by Ds and Rs alike.
o Neither Christine nor Coons has yet demonstrated the degree to which they will join with Obama. Castle has, and the degree is disturbing. You are aware of this, yes?
o To put 'conservative' and Castle on the same page, let alone the same sentence, is a diminution of the term, and an unfair elevation of the man. He is at best a liberal, and more aptly called a big government progressive. Which of course makes him a recognizable establishment Republican, a term as unrelated these days to Conservative as is, oh, say, truthful.
o Christine has never voted for a tax increase, an onerous regulation, or a spending boondoggle. I'll take that candidate 10 times out of 10.
o By " ... editorial put's it ... ", I suppose you mean " ... editorial puts it ... "
o Did it occur to you that the late, great Mr. Buckley would be ecstatic about and helpful to all the folks running for office around the country on a truly conservative platform, and unashamedly? I think he'd also remind you that conservatism wins every time it's tried. The problem with the Republican party has been for many years that it fears trying. Tonight, Mitch McConnell, in a CNN interview, foreshadowed just how short lived any Republican majority will be, with talk of meeting Obama in the center, collaboration, and bipartisanship, when the objective should be to DEFEAT liberalism and leftists. I don't want the US to descend into the abyss more slowly, I want the direction reversed toward the high ground.
o Your not caring how angry We are at Washington or Dover is as good an example of what's wrong with the establishment as any I could give. Thank you for that.
o And finally, a question: On what basis are you promoting Castle -- and I ask in light of the 3 dozen mailers from the Castle/V.M.P. campaigns that offer ad hominem attacks on a fellow Republican named Christine ... only. If I didn't already know what the man stood for, I could not possibly vote for someone so base and lacking in the ability to articulate positions on issues important to We the People. I guess it didn't occur to the brain trust that the attacks make Christine real, living as we all are in an over-regulated, over taxed, get-by-as-best-you-can world brought to us by the elites of the ruling class, of which Castle is a shining example.
God bless,
Roy
Mike Castle vs. The Constitution
Mike Castle, The Pusher
"I'm going to take more of your money to create more federal government to limit your freedom as a state resident and as a citizen of the once free America to create and administer f-o-r-e-v-e-r a new bureaucracy to limit and control who and at what age they can drive and it will be great, as all one-size-fits-all beltway cesspool programs are, and for every dollar we spend to limit your freedom, we will take two, because the beast and my voters must be fed, you know, and you don't think I will do this?
Oh, you're so wrong, because the two dollars for every one spent that we have already taken from you at the point of a gun for highway funding because how can anyone but me, Mike "Carnac" Castle and my posse know how and where to build a road in Delaware or Montana there's nobody there smart enough to know how, what, the citizens? posh, you fools but back to that money we have already taken times two, ha ha I'm gonna hold that from you what's that you say? haven't I told you we're past the Constitution and now we have it inside the beltway, well not really it's been pissed away somewhere but we have the dollars we borrowed from the ChiComms to replace it but anyway we're gonna limit the freedom of engineers and dozer operators and pavers and stripe painters to have a job and feed their families by keeping all those two dollar increments from your state unless and until you adopt my rules for driver's licenses, for which I will take more increments of two dollars from you many more because I can and because I want to and because I know better how your life should go. Got it?"
*Explanatory remarks*
In the sixties, at the dawn of the drug culture, before the market was self sustaining, we called them pushers. "This is new. Here take a free sample, try it, and if you like it, it's only 5 bucks a bag. And I'll give a free sample to any of your friends that mention your name to me." In the classroom, the chapter would include the term 'market penetration.' With the reliable marketplace that exists these days, it is sufficient, to profit in the marketplace, that is, to be a dealer. No pushing, no prompting, no free sample, just like filling up your car, by choice, with Texaco Plus, or selecting diesel or gasoline to suit your engine.
And thus goes the thinking, by my observation, of the politicians that have the unquenchable zeal to 'do something.' In this case, establishing 21 as the universal drinking age is but one example of the "free sample" of federal intervention with the gun being the money already confiscated for road work ... that led to the universal blood alcohol level "free sample" ... and so on ... and now to universal driving age limits ... from which will come upper age limits ... and limits on the infirm ... and then special protections for the infirm ...

I'm asking because in the last week the amount of NP transfer i've noticed in at least 4 servers is just

I don't think it would be fair to evict Turkish people off this server.
Even though it is a mainly English server (and the last one left) doesn't mean that non-English speakers can't play.
